Disk brakes for 9" big bearing Ford Rear

I have installed a Moser 9" in my 87 GN but want to put disk brakes on the rear. Wilwood and Baer are nice but quite pricey new. Car is for street/strip.

Anyone have any suggestions or know of a msg board that I may find a good used set?

I've been looking at 9" suppliers, thinking about upgrading my ttype, and the lower cost disc brakes I've noticed are from an Explorer and a kit from SVO. Currie has the explorer kit for $400 at http://www.currieenterprises.com/html/custom/brakekitsparts/rearendBrakesExplorer.htm. Personally I'm going with the 11" drums, either on a 12 bolt or 9".

I have the explorer kit on my car and they look nice. One i get the car finished ill tell you how they stop.

I wanted a brake system that i could still buy parts for in ten years. Im sure in 2014 i can walk into a parts store and get 99 explorer pads.

Did you purchase as a package from someone like Curry or did you get from a junk yard? I wonder what would be the price difference? Is there any special brakets needed?
