I havent posted in a while and I thought I would post this question. Do I have the mods to go 12.xx in street trim? That is my goal before considering alchy/propane. I have all my mods listed below and I am running 17/18 lbs of boost. Will I need some DRs and some rear brake work(stock setup now). Thanks for your opinions. Best so far (w/ ailing MAF) was a 13.496@100. Thanks again!

With the current mods you've got you should run in the 12's no sweat at all. Just tune it well, put some good gas and some sticky in the back and it should be easy like hell. One of my friends got a GN with basic mods: chip, dual exhaust, ajustable fuel ragulator, upgrade fuel pump and wastegate and all the rest is bone stock and he went 13.2 last time at the track. So I really dont understand why you couldnt run in the 12. Maybe you need a good tune up. :D Good luck

Thanks for the reply buickfreak. I dont know if I was clear enough in the last post but I want that 12.xx with street gas as well and no alchy. I know my car wasnt running like it is now and the fact that it was only my 3rd time ever down the track doesnt help either. I know the way the car is running now that I can click off much better times but how much better I do not know. Running a 12.xx in street trim(i.e. as it sits) would make me very happy. I know I can run a 12.something with good gas/alchy and I am wanting to do that in the future, I just want see what is the absolute best I can go with what I have now. Thanks again!

It's possible you've got enough under the hood to do 12's,
but the street radials will probably keep you in the 13's.
A 12 second pass usually requires some boost at the
starting line which will probably tear your BFG's loose and
kill your 60 ft time. Drag radials would help some, but slicks
would be best.
I went 12.72@103 with 26x10 ET Streets and 18psi,
I could never get better than 13.1 with my BFG's.

I have pretty much the same setup as you cakes and before I switched to Hoosier Quick Time Pros for my race setup I was in the 12.70's with some old Goodyear 255 15 VR60's. This was also before I put in the alky injection. Lowered the air pressure down to about 18lbs did a John Force burnout and launched at about4-5lbs. Wasn't consistant though, sometimes it would launch fine, was getting high 1.8 60 ft times, or other times it would just spin like crazy. I would never consider racing again without a slick/street slick tire.

Your boost is at the Limit @ 18psi (maybe a little beyond) with 93 octane so like Mark says you have to lower your 60s and it will be hard to lower them down into the 12s. I would guess a 13.2 with a decent 60 and 18psi.
