NO if you use a Earl Brown that is a Chevy LT1 starter no wires need to to be modified it is a direct replacement other than the proper starter bolt again get at your local NAPA.I say NAPA because O'Reilly and FleBay is a crap shot. You get 3 shims in the set There not intended to be stacked it is to chose the correct shim I have only seen one case I had to stack. I always use the thick one because it works Is it perfect maybe not but I only crossed under there twice. One because no shims were to tight and one to put the fat one in.
Install with no shim if its turns slow you only to have to remove one bolt from starter to install the shim.
Open nose starter will require wire mods you will be stuck with

hello people: And hello fellow Masshole BN6. the delco one I have is a 11-tooth. How many of youz with a Mini S had 2 shim. I've heard that U might have to extend the cables in some cases also if U had 2 shim R shims available. This summer has been 2 hot and I don't want 2 do shit.
