Been dizzy the past two days almost to the point of blacking out a couple of times. Had the nurses today at work, (I work in a nursing home) and it was 130/98. They are saying I need to get to a doctor right away. :(

Like most guys I hate going to the doctor but I do have an appointment tonite at 6pm. Guess the stress at work is finally getting to me! Buy more custom parts from me so I can quit the day job.

120 over 80 for adults is normal, your seem a little high 140 over 90 is hight, just as a precaution get yourself to a doctor to be checked out also take an aspirine a day to help out thinnin your blood I hppe is nothing serious.. sounds like a normal case of strees. take a few days off

Mark, just go. Yeah it sux, but if you're almost blacking out, take that seriously. Especially if a nurse is telling you to get your ass to a doctor! I think I speak for a lot of the TR world, we don't want anything to happen to ya. And I'm sure your family doesn't either.

Let us know what happens! Good luck bud.

If you think you need to see a DR, then see a Dr.

Running a poll about aches, and pains and weither to see a Dr can leave you dead.

Dizziness, can be from something as simple as low Potassium, and be life threatening.

Macho is for when playing manly *games*, not issues about life and death.

Whats your BGL (suger)
What was your heart rate ( is it regular, is it bounding)
as for the BP dosent sound to bad (do you ever have chest pain)
are you eating.... when was the last time it occured(black outs)
whats your medical history
what meds are you on
what meds if any are you allergic to
how old are you

Johnny

When your out and about stop by you local FIRE DEPARTMENT and ask if they are emt-b and paramedics if so then ask them to answer the first 3 questions for you then have them put you on the monitor (life pack) they will know what your talking about

The best part its free (you pay there salary)

Oh forgot if you work at a nursing home they can do it for you

Im no doctor but as stated it could be serious or not either way schdule an appointment with a doctor ( though I dont care for them either)

Maybe that's why you haven't been getting my emails. ;) Seriously, can't get ahold of ya though I did get the one saying "SUP?"

I had the same problem but for me it was sinus related. A perfectly healthy person can have a stoke and die. It never hurts to get a full physical. Well, only a lil bit. :p

I know what you mean about Drs though. I just got back from one today. The Dr part isn't as bad as the WAITING!~

Interesting, went to the Dr tonite and they weren't really concerned about the BP. She was telling me I probably have some sort of veritgo????? Supposedly should pass within a couple more days. Everything else seemed to check out OK but I am getting a full physical shortly. They took some blood tonite to check out too.

No other symptoms besides the occasional dizziness. No chest pains, no headaches other the occasional normal ones here and there. Guess I will be around for a while.

Im sure Your favorite one
A rubber glove and some lube :D

Just keep throwing parts at it until it runs right. :)

Just kidding.. glad to see you went to a doctor. Did they do any sort of blood work?

I don't think this is your problem, but my fiancee has chronic LOW blood pressure. Obviously not as common as high blood pressure, but the blood pressure will occasionally go very low and come back a short time later. Hard to catch, taking BP unless you take BP at the time it goes low.

My fiancee will occasionally get dizzy and even black-out for a short period of time. It was determined her diet didn't have enough salt (odd). Just another one to think about. Usually the dizziness occurs when she gets up from sitting for a while.

Good luck.

Mark,

I think it was because you missed the NEBRA BBQ and didn't get your yearly fix of Buicks, rootbeer and Brian Lee signature chicken.

I hope it is nothing and you are OK,

My wife recently had this..."Benign Positional Vertigo" i think it was..
She was feeling lousy for a couple days, then one morning she got up, went to go to the bathroom and was literally crawling along the wall to keep her balance, could barley stand..

Took her to hospital, & they gave her some sort of pills...
She said it took her a couple of weeks before she felt completely normal again

I went through the same thing for a about 5 days in the summer. Took a few days to get so dizzy that I decided to got the Dr. I thought it was an ear infection but she thought it was an allergy. I got some pills for the dizzyness and in a few more days it was gone. My Mother-in-law had the same thing in June. Maybe it's some funky virus.
Ya, we missed you at the BBQ. Get better soon.

Seeing a Dr.

Just my .02 worth If you smoke quit, if you smoke QUIT If you drink to excess

quit or reduce your intake to one or two drinks a week Get some exercise if for

only 15 min or so after you get your Dr.'s ok

Hope this helps

Roger

Yes, you should, and I hope that you really didn't put too much weight on our opinion on this. And if you did, you need to see 2 doctors.

I'm curious - when you feel like this, do you have blurring vision? How about if you climb a couple flights of stairs - do you get more dizzy, and does your heart feel like its "laboring", like working really hard? Not so much beating FAST, as hard.

I have been having this increasingly lately and discovered that for some reason, I've lost the sensation that I need to burp. I just plain don't notice anymore. It used to happen all the time, automatically, tiny burps that release stomach pressure. These days I could serve as a hydrogen storage vessel. When I finally notice, I'm sweaty, dizzy, heart beating very labored, blurred vision. I force myself to burp huge amounts, amazing amounts. Then I'm fine. I've searched and found a few other people talking about it as excess stomach gas, but I think they key to it is that the mechanism which normally releases gas is broken. I'm not sure that there's any more gas, just that it's not being released as normal. So you might take note of whether this might be the case for you.
