Does anyone have any pics of the IAT sensor relocated to doghouse?

Here's mine. It's not in the doghouse but it's close. It's in the intake itself.

This is exactly where mine is. I did not have to cut/extend any wires, just pulled them out of the loom at the front of the alternator. It is a little tight but reaches easily.

I am planning to relocate my IAT to the doghouse and I would llike to see some pics of what others have done for ideas. I tried to search the site because I am sure there are pics out there but the search function wont let me search for 3 letter phrases like IAT so its a little tough. Thanks!

Steve

No pics, but for 3 letter searches, use google. Do an advance search and type www.turbobuick.com in the site to search and then you can search the forums for IAT. That's what I do for O2, EGT, WB and those other pesky acronyms.

Good Luck.

Is this true for the BS3 gen 1 and 3 systems or just the FAST. I remember reading in the BS3 manual that the IAT was only used in Alpha N systems. What is correct?

This sensor MUST be moved from the stock location when using a speed density system. The computer uses this value when calculating the injector pulsewidth. Behind the TB is the most accurate.

We include this information in our "supplimental instruction sheet". I would suggest contacting your vendor if you need further verification.
