i'm possible concidering alochol or propane but i'm not sure what the big difference is. i know peopel have asked this same question before but from what I read there both about the same. so correct me if i'm wrong but, propane basically is like adding high octane fuel so the you can run higher boost. Alochol is bacically to help cool the air even farther making the air even more dence. if i'm wright these are 2 completely different things, but if the were the case why would people be asking which one?

I dion't understand what is going on. We never seem to get anything settled on this board. ;)

I love chaos!...

It looks like you are just beginning to get a handle on things here. Use the search button at the top of the page and enter things like DIY (do it yourself alchy injection), propain (brand name) propane, dennis hogan (that's a good one..:)

Briefly the propane is easier to tune. A dyno proven 40 hp at the wheels, with more left in it. Expensive, but the tank last a long time. After it has been around longer, more people will go that route, IMO.

Diy alcohol kits are fun to build, and if you are going 2 stage (another search word:)) Red Reagal T can vouch for the prerformance of his, and has been running methanol for 3+ years with no problem.

Look for a recent post by me describing the basics. It's only a month or so old. Good place to start.

:p

One more thing, get a knock detector (at least!) before you start playing with the boost..

OK, you are close about the propane being higher octane, but it is also a gaseous fuel and mixes completely with the air and doesn't allow any lean spots in the cylinder which is why I think it works so well, but that is just me.

It also promotes more complete, faster burns.
