Does the ecm turn the fan on?

My cars( 1987WE4) engine fan turns on at a temp of about 150 Is there a way to have it turn on later? There is a chip in the car from 1997 Hypertech power chip G7

It is programmed into the chip.

Your fan and thermostat have to match. So if you have a 160 stat, you need the fan ON at 165-167 and off at 157-160. Likewise with a 180 stat.. on at 187 of at 177.

You cannot change this setting as it is burned into the chip. I would invest in a newer technology chip.. its cheap and easy. TurboTweak Home
