Curious question for 2004r

Does the governor have any influence on WOT shift points when manual shifting.

For example, if I dont take enough weight off the weights, and it shifts at 5100, Can I just manual shift to to get shift points at 6000.

Or vice versa, If I take to much off and it shifts at 6500, can I manual shift and make it shift at 6000?

One more thing, Does manual shifting like this with not a specific manual kit - does that change the firmness/crispiness compared to an auto shift?

Thanks guys!

You can raise your shift points by manually shifting but you can't lower them. The 1-2 shift will feel different when shifting manually because the line pressure is raised via the boost valve.
