The best theft deterrent system I have is Florida state law. You know those wacky Castle Domain laws where you have the right kill peeps on your property.
I never had anything stolen from my yard but I used to get people stopping by the house wanting to buy my cars or just looking for parts before they stiffened up the law a few years ago. I'm out on the highway which doesn't help any. I'm damn good at spotting a criminal from the way they approach me. And believe me when you have a Regal or two parked in the drive you get plenty of the Gold Grille and droopey pants gang wanting to buy those cars. I'm not paranoid and most of them are honest about what they want. It would just bug the heck out of my wife when I wasn't home. I told her not to answer the door. Lots of notes left on the cars and the front door too. Also plenty of guys looking for race car projects. Now you know what really stopped the OG's from stopping by? I had to put real race car numbers on the sole remaining Regal when I ran it in the GRM $2005 Challenge. I just left the decals on the door after I blew up the 455. Not one single enquiry if it was for sale after those numbers went on the door. The wife keeps telling me "what ever you do dont take the numbers off".
I gave my wife a dog a few years back. And he earns every bit of his kibble too. It just amazes me at the stuff he barks at, at 3:00 in the morning.
