Does your car fight you back?

It seems that every time I fix something on the wife's stingray something else goes awry. Last fall the exhaust started leak pretty bad so I installed beautiful new side pipes for it. We went out for a quick bite to eat and then I noticed a small fuel leak in the rear. We parked the car for the winter. Last night I jacked it up and removed the fuel tank and replaced the fuel lines. Made sure it was solid then took it out for a spirited drive with the cool night air blowing threw the windows. Pulled it back into the garage and now the drivers side window will not go back up. Every corner this thing fights back.

Im sure alotta people been there before!! I personally have had that kinda luck with my 4wheelers.. it always something!! You feel like you can never get ahead.. And you just wanna get rid of the thing!!! But your problems dont seem to be to bad.. Just some minor things!!! Goodluck.. things will turn around!!

Welcome to my world. Everytime I fix or install something another part breaks. It's like a vicious circle. I got it running good on Monday and now I have a Dan trans leak. I said to myself I will not waste anymore time with it and here I am today trying to find the leak. I am drawn to it like that damn movie "Christine". Seems like for every step forward I take two steps back...

I find that as a vehicle ages, its reliability decreases exponentially. There's always something going wrong with my '64 Lincoln. Thankfully the engine is a tank-- virtually indestructable; however, the transmission, wiring, convertible top mechanism, brakes, suspension, and fuel pump are a different story. One of these days, when I have surplus time and money, I'm just going to strip the thing down to bare metal --inside and out-- to do a full restoration of everything. That should solve all my problems

Oddly enough, the ~500 miles/per year I put on it are totally worth all the hassle. You can't put a price on swagger...

About every 6 months some thing decides to act up. Turbo went cost me a motor. Power master went as I pulled in the driveway, starter went one morning, a fuel pump as I pulled out in to traffic, a burnt up bulkhead connector in the tank and an alternator. Now my radio randomly shuts of for 2 seconds at will, I can’t figure out this one. I really should look in to a new daily driver.

my car was fighting me back until i gave it an ultimatum....keep fighting and ill drive you through the winter. it did, i did, and it was a good girl ever since.

Sounds like my GN, which is part of the reason it has been parked for so long. The wife's GS is the same way.
