Hello,
I have a similar thread in General tech but I figured this would be a better forum for my problem.
Anyhow, I had my car painted this time last year. I found a good parts car and got the doors off of it. The body shop didn't do a very good job aligning them so I aligned them myself. I also bought and installed new weatherstripping.
Here is the problem, the weatherstripping is binding around the bottom front of the rocker (see pic). When I close the doors, I can hear it rubbing and when I pull the handle to open the doors, they it "pop" open. It's so tight that the doors won't close unless you give them a good swing or follow through with your hand. I was convinced up until now that I just didn't have the doors aligned right but there has got to be something else going on here. I have all the gaps and lines on the exterior lined up perfectly and I still have this problem. Has anyone else had this problem?
