Hello All,

Is there a way to replace the door hinge bushings without removing the hinge from the car or the door? The thread that Richard Clark posted in said that you can but I do not see how.

I did the driver's side last week I cut the pin but had to unbolt the hinge from the door. and it was a pain to bolt the hinge back to the door and align everything. I have the spring compressor tool.

Any tips will help! Thanks

My and I have done it without removing the hinge but can't remember, Sorry
I will ask Dad and post up any info.

if both pins are pulled technically the door is off
with a door dolly supporting the door ...
remove the spring , (the tool is junk but it works )
then remove the door pins (theres a tool to get them out easier .. https://www.amazon.com/CTA-Tools-5240-Hinge-Remover/dp/B00VX0QYN8 )
and then pull the door back a little and replace the bushings without having to undo any electrical
line both hinges up and put both pins back in
you shouldnt have to adjust the hinges unless they were moved to fix the worn pins .
if the bushing holes are worn youll need to pull hinges to make it right

found this on the tube ..
