Has anyone replaced the stock sound/moisture barrier inside the doors with Dynamat? I am looking for a good way to seal the inside of the car, the doors are rusted at the bottoms and water and other road stuff can get in. So I know this is only a temp fix until I can get the doors fixed or replaced. Just looking to see what others may have done. And if you have used the Dynamat, what kit did you use or was it just a big sheet cut to fit? Price isnt much of a concern, the factory stuff at gbody parts is like 58 for both doors, and a Dynamat sheet is just about 75.00. Thanks in advance!

there is a fake dynomat company that sells it at like 1/4 of the price. a buddy of mine did his doors on his mustang... it would soak up the water though and he had to remove it. not sure if the real dynomat does that. but his door got heavy very fast from the rain

I did the interior metal sides of my doors with dynamat, don't get any near the door and lock actuators or hinge points.

I didn't do anything to the skin outside parts which are way inside the doors when working from inside the car with the door panels off.

You can cut and fit a sheet in and around everything if you take your time and use a heat gun and 1" or 2" roller.

No kit just the bulk sheets work fine.

Remember don't trap anything that slides and moves, (actuators and rods), between the door panels and a dynamat sheet, in the summer that stuff melts a bit and forms around the moving parts to jam them up a bit.

A small clearance is all that is necessary however.
