Hey, I am in process of rebuilding the inners of my GN door. New regulator rollers, window motor, lock cylinder, wiring, etc... and there is an extra connector that doesnt have a home. All the electrical bits are accounted for and this connector was just floating inside the door. Anyone know what this is supposed to go to?

Also, I am missing the front upper stop bracket, if anyone has an extra, I am interested.

Thanks!

The lock solenoid is connected. Its those white and tan wire in the background.
Did these cars have side mirror defrost? maybe courtesy light?

No mirror defrost option. Courtesy light is the switch on the inner door jamb(by the hinges).

Do the power locks work?

That make more sense. The door panels have been replaced in this GN.
Does anyone have a picture of the lower panel light? I havent been able to find a picture (at least for an 84 GN) of what its supposed to look like.

Well it doesn't match up with the connection so not it.

stock speakers in the door? I had no idea! I checked RPO codes and UW4 is there.
I took a look in the passenger door and found a set of green wires that are cut. I will trace these back and see if they go to the stereo.
Is this system worth putting back together? sounds like a cool feature.

the pic of driver door doesn't have the hole for concert speaker , that door isnt original to car , passenger may be the same
the speaker hole can be cut but youll also need to find concert lower door panels , (or the parts to convert) the speakers and mounts (baskets) and speakers
the wires didnt go to the radio, they went to a connector mounted at the back of the dash (right of the gas pedal)
that connector then plugged into the radio

I took a better picture of the door of where the speaker should be. Do you know which hole are for mounting the speaker? or is it missing a cut out, as you mentioned?

It does not appear the doors were swapped on this car, but I wouldn't be surprised. There are many mysteries with this car.
This seems like a fun project to try and recreate. I am thinking of 3D printing some brackets and trying to make it look as it was. I will be sure to post any progress.

The door weldment is the same part number for all options. The difference for the concert sound is the lower door panel trim. It has an added depth to accommodate mounting speakers, so it protrudes into the cabin.

well they did cut out the door and theres a boot in the paper water sheild to protect the speaker
