Down pipe fitment problems

Has anyone purchased a DP and had it hit the frame to the point you could not start the bolts that attach it to the turbo. If so. did you make it fit and how. This would be a 3"DP.

I've had them hit the upper control arm, but never the frame. The original TH down pipes would also hit the body seam on the firewall on some cars. I would just take a hammer and smack the seam up to clear the pipe. Never hit the frame, though. Check your motor mounts on BOTH sides and replace them if worn or broken. That is the ususal cause of down pipe woes.

It's not the motor mounts. I'm thinking the flange was installed incorrectly as the puck doesn't even cover the wastegate hole completely.

The only problem I had with my DP is that it was touching the pass. header barely. It was making on helluva noise. Took a prybar and clearanced it.

I've never heard of them hitting the frame either.
