Who makes a 3" downpipe for these cars that doesn't cost 1000 bucks?

No one from what I have seen. Since our cars have such a small piece of the turbo V6 market it is going to be hard to find anything under $1,000. Even used THDP's are going for around $1K. The question you must ask yourself is are you really going to get a $1K performance gain from one? There are guys on the boards deep in the 11's using the stock DP.

Before I got my THDP I cut a hole at the very bottom of the stock dP and had a cutout welded on. It was damn effective for $20. Mostly stock combo ran back in 1992: 13.20 closed, 12.90 open
