Ok I am a tech idiot. I have a Motorola razor phone and it is the first phone that I have owned with a camera. How do I get the pics out of the Phone? I do not have the directions for the phone. (if I did I would not read them any ways) Do I need special software in my PC? I have a cannon zoom browser program for my digital camera and have tried that program but it does not seem to work. The only setting in the phone that makes sense is "send to online album" What????

any help is appreciated.

Thanks

You will need the specific cable to connect to your computer OR if your computer has bluetooth you can use that. My computer did not have blue tooth so I purchased a blue tooth USB stick. Plugs into the USB port. Then you have to allow the phone and the computer to connect. Once that happens, you can download/upload all you want.

Well since you said you already tried the digital camera program I'm assuming you at least have the correct USB cable to hook it up to the PC.

For that type of phone you should get Motorola Phone Tools software, should let you share files to and from your PC.

Other options are to text message the picture to your email address or transfer the pic to a MicroSD card (if your Razr has the slot) then transfer from the card to your PC. Oh and if you do use a cable, you'll have to use a Motorola branded one (same with chargers) due to some jackassery on their part. Basically it will only respond if it sees the correct resistance on a certain lead.

I had to get a cardreader for mine to work...won't download to PC from phone. Lift the battery out, slide the memory card ( that come's with the cardreader) into the provided slot. Then after you take pics go into menu and transfer the ones you want onto the card, then take the card out and put it into the cardreader/pocket drive. Then plug it into a USB port on the PC. You should now see an icon for "new harddrive device" in your "my computer" folder OR on your desktop if it's a Mac. Then just do as if downloading from a camara. I'm a technological dinosaur but I "managed" somehow to get "er done. HTH.

Thanks

Sounds like I need a USB cable for the Motarola Phone. When I hooked it up to my computer with my current cable the computer recognized the VC3 phone so I figured the cble was ok. I will try to find the software that was mentioned.

Thanks to all!

Yeah Im pretty much in the same boat. I have a V235, which shares a lot of the same traits are the Razor. I keep getting told that the phone tools kit is the only way to go. Another option, is that Radio Shack has a kit for the Razor that will do a similar thing. I looked at it, but it wasnt compatible with my V235. Its all about the drivers. I have the correct cable, but the computer wont recognize the phone. The phone tools is only available online it seems. Everywhere I have gone said thats the only way to get it. Its about $50.

If your computer has Bluetooth, the Razor phone has Bluetooth so all you do is prompt the phone to download the photos. I have a Mac but you would think PC's have Bluetooth loaded in them. Paul
