Start with the Nittos, they are easy to sell if you don't like them, and if you find them "scarry" in the rain look for a true street tire. :)

Oh, and they last 2X-3X longer than other drag radials.

Which may matter in a street tire choice.

Its got "true" street tires on it now. I was wanting to know what Drag radial had the best manners in the rain.

Seems like Nitto is getting the most votes.

I got caught in heavy rain with brand new MTs on the highway and they were terrible. I was going around 50 in a 65. The car hydroplanned just coasting. I ended up stopping at Subway until the rain slowed down. :p

As long as there is not too much water on the road, the DRs should be ok. But once there is a decent amount of water on the street be careful.

i put hundreds of miles on my GN in the rain but all it takes is once. Just keep tabs and don't let the tread get low. The best thing is to pull over and wait it out or something like this can happen. :(

I think the Nittos were the best in the rain .. we went to the HUGE 325/50/15 MT's .. been caught in rain and they wern't bad .. no I didn't try goin 80 but went 55-60.. took it out Sunday in drizzle and it was fine 70-80 down the highway no problems

out of all the cool cars i saw on sunday, those tires are the one thing that made me say "i want that!".....looks incredible in person

Im drooooolin over those tires...

The only time I had my M&H in the raid it was on the freeway... the riad was stready but not too bad. They got kinda "shifty" at times so I let off and slowed down. As far as hookin on wet pavement they did great, but standing water was the only problem. I expect my new MTs to do about the same.

I'll throw another vote in for the Nittos, although I never tried any others. I ran the 275/50/15s through a few years of monsoon season, and I was always amazed at how well they did in the rain. In fact, they hooked better in the rain than the GTII's they replaced!

Anyone who's ever driven in Phoenix when it's raining can attest to how slippery the roads get here (very little yearly rain adds up to lots of oil on the road, and poor civil engineering means that there's nowhere for the water to go  )
