I work at an auto auction so I get to drive lots of cars but not many are too special. Today i got to cruise around in a 4000 mile 2003 Nissan 350 Z for a little bit. This car is pretty amazing. It made every other car i drove today seem like a sack of dirt. It sold for $30,000 which seem like a bit much since this is a dealer auction and it'll no doubt get marked up. I would recomend going out and test driving one of these. The interior was nicely set up and it even had a tire pressure guage mounted in the middle. It was also real quick. Quicker than I expected. The only thing i didnt like was the rear window was at such an angle that you could barely see out of it. Common in most sports cars I'm sure.

On my way to work I see a silver one on a dealerships annex lot.
I was staring at the Z. pretty neat little car.

It was like if it was calling me in to test drive it. I would be afraid if I did that I might like it.

Last time I got to drive new cars was the Audi TT turbo & the v-8 shaguar.
I really liked the TT in the corners

I drove one and I was thinking my porsche is much older and much much better and cost less then the 350Z. The things I thoink could be better are brakes on non track model need help, and they need to ease up on the trac control and such, just does not feel conected with the road.

What auto auction, Southern? I work out of ADESA Indy (not an employee but a customer of theirs).

I love the looks of the 350Z.

If you want the exact same setup, with a lot more class, go drive the Infinity G35.

Yup, that's the one. Southern Auto Auction in East Windsor, CT.

I notice ADESA took over the old GM plant in Framingham mass.
Are they strict auction or do they secretly fix the lemons inside the building?

Made a pass down the 1/4 mile with one. It was an automatic and I ran it with the Traction control on (could not find the switch to turn it off). Ran 15.00 can't remember the MPH. Nice looking car but not impressed with performance.

Rather have a Vette.

Buy American!

umm are you sure about that? 15s? It's rated at 287 HP and I can't imagine that it weighs that much.

AUTO!!!!

That was the problem. Take a 6 spd (manual) out. Very low 14's easy.

The few I've seen at NED were low 14's. One was modded but still not faster than 14. I sat in one at the dealer a few months back. I didn't like the height of the door window. You sit low and the window line is about at my eye level. Would be hard to use the driveup ATM.

The father-in-law bought one with a 6-speed. It's nice, but I'm not particularly impressed. Just another flashy car where your ass is only an inch off the floor and your legs stick straight out to the pedals. I have never liked that driving position and remember the older Z's for that reason.

Also, it certainly did not feel fast at all, and I would expect that mods are required for low 14's.

It's an OK car, and everyone has different preferences. I prefer a more upright driving position and more low-end power.

Like I said before..."easy low 14's"

You know if Road & Track runs these times, the car is bound to be even faster. They run high 12's in ZO6 vettes.
