DS Header Heat Shield

Mine broke off today, and I was able to fish it out before I lost it for good.

Im going to guess that running without it will ruin the steering joint near the rear cylinder.

Is it a big deal not to have the heat shield on it?

I think by now, most of the stock headers still on theses cars have lost there heat shields.
None of the after market headers have heat shields. If it was critical I would think they would.

Will not affect the steering shaft one bit. Even low mileage cars loose them.
