DS ?'s

well i finally got my Ds working..
now i have a few ?'s
while at a 80 km cruise my ds has the following:
the 3rd&4th are lit
tcc & hwy sprk mode.
is this supposed to be happening?

i also noticed that blm update disable is always lit
and the learn is always lit.

any info??

Once you get up into cruising (in overdrive) the 3rd and 4th gear flags should be lit. They show you when you're in 3rd and 4th. No, once shifting from 3rd into 4th the 3rd gear light does not go out. It's function is to tell the computer when you're in 3rd or higher.

TCC light comes on when the converter locks.

Hwy mode spark advance is just that. operates in a narrow band of power and speed.

BLM update disable should generally not be on all the time, just comes on occasionally. Not sure about that one.

Learn spends a lot of time on also, but not all the time. Guess I never watched those last two at highway cruise to see what was going on.

I wouldnt worry too much, it sounds ok to me. The Learn mode is always on, unless your in Power enrichment mode, which is wide open throttle. At that point, the ECM is no longer learning, or adjusting based on feedback from the O2 sensor. If you are still concerned, you may email me a recording at webmaster@bmcomputersource.com
