I just got an F body radiatior and the dual fans from Ramchargers. The fans won't fit between the endtanks. I already trimmed off the 4 ears like everyone instructed to do. I really don't want to start grinding on the thing. Anyone else have problems?

even with a square radiator to install the dual fan in the fbody rad i had to thin the sides down with belt sander, by the time it fit the groves in the side were completely gone , but it will slide in

I just went through the same dilemma today & after cutting the ears off I still had to sand off the lip on both sides (approx. 1/8 inch each side) to get it to fit in between the f-body tanks. My biggest problem was trying to figure out where to re-mount my SMC alchy bottle....I ended up mounting it right on the V4 intercooler between the necks..
After taking it for a test drive in 95 degree weather & sitting still at some stop lights temp got up to 179 on the scan master, but quickly dropped down to about 170 when the fans came on. On the highway it was 168-170, so I'm pretty pleased so far....
