Un plug one pump, and then plug it back in. (while running) You should see a instant jump in fuel pressure. It will usually settle back down, but there will be a slight jump in pressure. Unless you have a BIG aftermarket pressure regulator. But, even so, there should be a noticable jump in pressure.
If you are unsure how to do that, post more info on what sstem you have. That would help. You might have to jumper the pressure switch to bypass the hobbs switch.

One should assume that these pumps are staged. If that's the case you'll need to find out if they are or aren't. If they are, what is used to turn the second pump on?

i run two intank pumps continuously. when i lost a pump i noticed i lost about 7psi of base fuel.
