It is right under the throttle body...look under/behind the up pipe and you will see the connector plugged on it.

If you mean putting a paperclip across a&B on the aldl connector..yeah, it works...

easier to set if you have a scan tool, tho.
 
Start the car and run until fully warm.

Put it in Park

And observe what the IACs settle to.

If not in a range of say 15-30, turn the iac adjustment screw to bring it into range. Turning the screw inward (clockwise) reduces the iac count and vice versa. After ever half turn or so, kill the engine and restart to reinitialize the iac motor.

Be warned that turning the screw in will increase the tps voltage and you want to keep it under .46 with the engine running. Therefore you may have to readjust the tps when finished with the iac depending upon how much you have to move the screw and where your tps is currently set. :
