Dutt neck

I know that installing a dutt neck is a recommended upgrade, my question is how much benefit would I expect to see, if any in a basically stock car. Only upgrades are 60# injectors, TT 93 chip and gutted cat with hooker cat back. I'm just wondering if its money well spent in my situation or if I should focus elsewhere.
 
IMHO, you should probably look at a larger downpipe before the Dutt neck. You might gain a little on spool-up with the Dutt, but if you're still running the stock downpipe, I'd look at upgrading that first....best bang for the buck given your current set up.

Thanks for the info, I was thinking along those lines myself but now feel better with another opinion.

Thanks for the heads up, but my trans works perfectly so I'm not really looking to swap it out. I was just curious if the internals were hardened. I already plan on using a CK servo an shift kit and I think that will be sufficient for my needs.
 
I gained 2 lbs. of boost years ago with just a dutt neck and no other mods or changes.
Great upgrade for a stock or lightly modded car IMO.
 
People seem to be giving away intercoolers. If you can get one cheap, then it should be a solid bang for the buck.

I agree a big neck inlet is probly worth close to 10hp worst case and a worthwile upgrade, try to picture where you want to end up power wise so that you can end up getting stuff one time instead of out growing this years combo and having to re buy for later on. Combo is everything on these cars.
