Make me smart about dynos, will you?

I have a MINT TTA, not likely to take it to the track, but, would consider a dyno. I'm shooting for 510 hp, or, power enough for high 11's, low 12's.

How do I find a dyno? How much does it cost? What are some of your lessons learned? What other specific facts do you think are important?

Thanks for your help :D

List the combo first. :)

Dyno Days or group deals are the cheapest. Usually around $75.

Alone expect to pay $100-150 for an hour or about 3 pulls.

Have the car completely tuned before you get there. ;)

Make sure they have the wideband O2 hooked up.

Big fans in front of the intercooler and radiator help a lot.

I'm stock except for an XPFP, gutted cat, 160 stat, 92 thrasherand 255/50/16 Falken z-rated tires.

Gathering 50 pounders, T+, Extender, LT1 MAF and power plate to install after initial baseline. Will eventually put a Ta-49 on there :)

I take it that the dyno shop will routinely provide a WB02?

Usually they will just ask to make sure.

PS: You won't be too close to that 500hp. number either. :(

Shoot for 350 at the rear wheels with tons 'o torque. :)

I agree, Stock should be close to 300-325 RWHP.

By adding the electronics, injectors and turbo, I'm interested to see what will happen as I use the T+ to tune.
