Well i just recieved new built gn trans today built by janis transmissions an non lock up. but after fed ex dropped it off found that they broke the bell housing all to sh**. i just hope that the claim will pan out.i am running a lock up now 3000 stall,was hopeing to gain some et by going to non lu.. if so what kind of time is expected. so far went 6.67 with 1.46 60ft @102 in 1/8 on footbrake leaving at 12lbs and running 25lbs boost c16 gas, full 3660lb car.

Sounds like the luck I've had with UPS. They're terrible. FED X is usually more careful. Sorry about your misfortune.
You should talk to Jakeshoe, he has some brand new OEM GM 2004R trans cases/housings for FedEx to pay for. Hell they should cover the entire cost of a new trans plus you could keep the broken one for parts. Allways make damage worse than it is for your downtime loss and their sloppy work. Bent input shaft, pump, converter etc. etc.. Which those very well could be damaged anyway if the bell is shattered.

Accidents can and do happen, but to "fabricate" or modify the truth of circumstances is not something I would ever recommend anyone to do. Just because your reaction is to lie, don't advise others to follow your advice, it could cause someone to think that you may have "difficulty" in telling the truth.

I agree with Kevin. When I have had to file a claim with UPS, they wanted the damaged parts when they did their investigation. It is not worth it to me to lie since it all comes back around.

KL you're right, Accidents can and do happen. He should inspect the trans carefully so he doesn't get had twice with shipper. I've just have very bad luck with UOOPS. I've had them actually laughing in the background when I'm trying to make a claim, & they didn't know I could here them + sometimes it takes them 6 months or more to settle.
Just ranting when I should've been sleeping. :biggrin:

I would never ship a transmission by any courier. Truck freight only...They will barrel roll those units on and off all of the trucks----I work for a performance WD and we had 3 high end PG's get there cases broken.....and they would not cover them.
