Easiest way

Whats the easiest way (if there is one) to install the new TA-33 turbo - adapter piece ?

Do you install the adapter into the turbo first ?
OR
Install adapter into the manifold first then pound the turbo into it ?

Do you hit the turbo with a hammer or what ? How does it friction fit into place with the adapter without hitting it ??

I have always got the adapter seated into the intake first, and then after that I line up the turbo oil return line into the intake grommit....after that I lay the turbo bolts/studs in the 3 mounting slots, and then take a rag lay it over the compressor housing. After you see that you are lined up give the housing a few taps with a mallet, and you should feel it bottom out in the mounting slot near the intake air entry.


Put your three 8MM-1.25 nuts on that hold the turbo down, and it should be on there good!

I'll give that method a shot as soon as the TA-33 gets here.

I think last time I put the adapter into the trubo first - but your way sounds like less hassle.
