i need to replace my 02 sensors, so i went to nappa to buy one and was told theres different kinds, some for in front of the catalytic converter and some behind it, i didnt know which one it was so i had to leave, but i do need an 02 sensor bad, my car has about 84,000 miles and the same 02 sensor,. if someone could tell me the correct one it would be much appreciated thanks.

Yes, There are different kinds, but if the guy knew what he was talking about he would have known that our cars only have one o2 sensor.

The stock sensor is an ACDelco AFS-20 (GM PN 25162693). I've had good luck using the Denso stock single wire replacement sensor....Denso P/N 321-1001. These new Denso sensors are "foul proof" and tend to last a little longer. The stock ACDelco's work really well too.

The only one's I've had trouble with are the Bosch sensor....I'd stay away from them.

Good Luck,
John

The Densos, as mentioned, will live with race gas. There's a big thread on this board about that, and my new Denso has lived through 2 tanks of 110 already. They are quite a bit cheaper than the ACs also. You can get them for $20.45 each plus shipping at Sparkplugs.com, part number 234-1001. Use a long 7/8th wrench to remove the O2, and use antisieze on the new one if not supplied.
