Finally got around to converting to an 87 ECM and installed the Caspers IAT sensor and wiring along with the Ultra Chip. The car is stock, idles a lot better and starts without any issues.
A few other issues;
1. The SES light flickers with the key on and does not shut off after the car is started (stays flickering).
2. The car starts in the anti theft setting (“zero”) on the selector.
3. The OTC400E does not read the computer. Tried disconnecting the ADL and reconnecting, and checked the chip to make sure it was seated about 5 times.
I had no SES and ADL connector issues before the swap.
What would the 4th digit be for an 87 to be entered in the monitor?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
