Is it true that the stock ECM only needs a custom chip in order to use MSD #50's.

I understood that the stock ECM was just fine with high impedance injectors as long as a custom chip was used. Today I heard that any injector over #36 required the drivers be upgraded. Can someone explain ...Thanks

Stock ECM will support any hi-Z injector- highest available currently is the Mototron 60# injector.

Yes, you'll need a chip matched to the injector.
