What would cause this on my XFI. I bought a new usb adapter and tried it on my laptop. I used different com's until I found one that said ECU not found.

I went through this yesterday. It seems to be pretty picky about the sequence of events. Eventually I got it to connect but it was a pain in the butt.

Yeah I thought it might be something with Vista(sucks BTW), But I put the CD in and plugged the USB into the computer, then it said finding software or something and it started to work. I hate computers.

I have Vista, too. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. My laptop has 5 USB ports on it. Every once in a while I need to pick a different one and map the COM setting accordingly. Thanks Bill! (Gates that is).
