Does anyone currently use the Edelbrock Cam 204-214 for the Buick V6. I can get the cam and lifters for $69.99. Is this a good deal? I am planning to rebuild my engine. If I get this cam, what would be a good set of springs? CC980 or ? ALso, what would be a good convertor.

Thanks

A dual pattern cam like that isn't the ideal set up for a turbo application. Some run them, but a single pattern or a dual pattern with more intake duration is best.

I read that Lee Thompson was using a dual pattern (208-224) with great success. I believe that this was the same cam ESP was using in their 600hp engine buildup. I was told more exhaust pushed, the cooler the turbo would be. Has anyone debated the pros-cons of split duration. I believe Lee used this cam in the 3.8 , 4.1, and now, his stage II monster:) :D

I'm going to be running a split cam soon!

here's the specs I just got:

duration intake:204 exhuast:214
cam lift :.280 :.295
value lift :.448 :.472

I've seen many guys in this forum use a similar spec cam with great results

that's why I'm going with it too

Thats the cam Im usng in my new engine. I was told its actualy made by SpeedPro. When I get it running I'll let you know how it runs.
