Beginning research on after-market EFI systems to replace a large 4 barrel carburetor.

Must be capable of feeding 500+ c.i. & 500+ HP.

Will need complete system from fuel tank to the top of the 4Bbl. intake manifold.

What is out there & what will it take?

Thank you.

Look up a company called fitech

Thanks, I was just looking at their site. Trying to figure out the fuel system from the tank to the throttle body. Have a rear mounted tank with a gravity fed mechanical fuel pump on the engine block.

Look up their fuel command center.

I looked at that, but I don't think I have enough room to mount it anywhere. Big block, tight engine compartment & small vehicle. Probably need an inline pump mounted near the tank. Most likely will require a fuel return line to tank. I was hoping to avoid the extra fuel line.

Thanks again.

You'll have to plumb a return for all of the new throttlebody type systems. At the price point they're selling them, you just don't get a PWM controlled fuel pump and a returnless fuel system.

But you do get everything else. Most of them come in kits that literally include everything. Pump, lines, regulator, bulkhead fittings for the tank, all of it.

My main goal aside from a clean burn, is altitude compensation & to operate at all the angles that a 4x4 experience.

Did you go to youtube and see if somebody had a setup similar to yours?

Fairly certain that no one else does. Seen a few poorly done attempts over the last couple of decades though.

Lol. Can you share a pic of your setup?

I've just started looking at these. The Holley Sniper is another EFI set up to look at.

Many are self learning/self contained. I wanted one with laptop data recording and programming. And a knock sensor.
