EGR hole in intake

I knew that the previous owner had removed the EGR tower in the intake. What I didn't know was that it was still open. So should I leave it alone or weld it shut. My chip is for EGR function disabled.

I would weld it shut making sure you never have a boost leak there...But making sure the block off plate is sealed up nice will do the same job.

Y do you remove the EGR tower ? T putt RJC plate in did not drill the hole

If you compare what was pictured to a stock one you will see a huge difference. The whole thing is ported, ground down.
