Damn, Half of this forums is either retarded or just has a problems with reading. HE DOESNT CARE ANYMORE ABOUT GETTING HIS MONEY BACK, everyone keeps posting this and that about inspecting the vehicle right when he got there and all this crap. Maybe he didnt see it,it was overlooked, a fly got in his eye when going over it, who knows. The point is he would have never of bid on it IF IT WAS REPRESENTED CORRECTLY. Im in shock that people are saying anything but "thats ****ed up, I wouldnt misrepresent a car like that."

LOL, that's what I keep thinking. I never came on here demanding a refund. I didn't even make this post a month ago after I got the truck home. My plans were, and still are to just sell the truck for what I have into it once I recieve the title back from the state.

I made this post after seeing I got negative feedback after buying a vehicle that was misrepresented. After getting salt poured in my wounds I figured I would let everyone know what kind of guy Bill really is.

Bill, I find it truly amusing that you would use the words integrity and honesty when describing your business practice.

Are you learning disabled, or do you have problems with comprehending what you read? If that is the case than I apologize. Otherwise you have no excuse for not comprehending what I've plainly stated multiple times in plain english. Answer this. If I looked at the truck at your shop and saw all the rust how am I still not at least screwed out of all my travel expenses because of your dishonest description? I expect you will not answer that question as I've asked it many times.

It was your responsibility to describe the vehicle accurately on ebay. If you did not inspect the vehicle you should have stated so in the ad rather than matter of factly stating it absolutely has no rust.

Here is my problem with you and I believe I am also typing this in clearly legible plain english.

I left you bad feedback which was deserved. The vehicle was not as described. Why did I deserve to get bad feedback from you? Were you not paid in a timely manner?

And fwiw I am recieving PM's thanking me for sharing my experience with you. These are people that were considering having work done with you and are now shying away because they can see you're trying to twist things around instead of being a man and admitting you were wrong.

but Ray Charles could spot the rust on this truck from a mile away QUOTE]

Then why didnt you?

If you walked around the truck, crawled up under it, seen the rust and then confronted Bill on it and he slithered around the issue and you caught him in a lie then you could really stand here and call him a liar but you did not see anything wrong...you shook his paw and drove off

He got it on trade, walked around it...just like you did, he might have had someone from his shop take a peek.
I for one would never say anything from the north is rust free so its a bad mistake..has he apologized for the bad mistake?..i dont know...should he?...not my call

you should have checked the slip and bos before you left and brought your concern up to Bill.
you should have called your insurance and got the truck put on your policy which would have enabled you to get a 3day temp on it.

its over...you made your feelings be known, you got screwed and BILLS A LIAR!!!!!! ok so now that everyone here knows that BILL IS A LIAR..LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE
NO TIME TO WALLOW IN THE MIRE COME ON BABY LIGHT MY FIRE
3 DOG NIGHT SINGING LIAR!..IS THIS HELPING YOU TELL THE WORLD HE IS A LIAR?

PS. I cant wait to get the funds to have that damn liar build my motor

Try reading the post again. Everything has clearly been explained. If I spotted the rust at his shop I still would have lost out on travel expenses due to his dishonesty. (assuming he would have actually refunded me).

Your antics are amusing but it does not change the truth.

travel expenses?

big friggun deal..you would have saved 6600.00 bucks you got a damn Z06 and a few other goodies that not many 30ish yr olds have.. this thread is stupid now what do you really want? defender of the week title? trophy maybe you want bill to get on his knees and beg forgiveness?

dude its done and so am i

" I'm adding a name to the "never to buy from" list.........sorry you got screwed on your "rust free" vechicle. "

X2

Yep, lot's of backpeddling but never owning up to the condition as described in detail, and negging someone for deserved negative feedback is an Ebay no no.

Quite obviously the thing was NEVER up on one of those four lifts.

Looks like more than one person missed the RUST on the "RUST FREE" car.

But obviously it didn't stop ONE of them from listing it on Ebay that way. :p

I'll tell you what I want. All I want is for Bill to simply apologize for misrepresenting the vehicle and leaving me negative feedback which was unwarranted.

I don't think that's an unreasonable request given the cirucumstances and it will also allow him to save face with the turbo buick community.

Not saying much for your integrity as an automible specialist, you looked at the truck before you accepted it.

I didnt lie in the description of the truck as you keep accusing me.
I recently took this truck for payment from a customer we performed an engine job for. I have not owned it for 15 years and stipped it down to every nook and cranny to find fault with it. I listed the truck in detail as I saw it, just as you did when you looked it over and picked it up, it was not misrepresented.I pointed out all the negatives I knew about face to face as we walked around it from the truck needing rear tires to the paint being dull on the hood.
If you wanted to disassemble it in the parking lot and pick it apart right there that would have been fine I had it on a lift when you arrived for God sakes!!! I would have given you your money back on the spot if it were misrepresented in your opinion but you elected to accept the vehicle (after I had stored it for a couple weeks at no charge to you ) take it home and NOW pick it apart because you didnt agree with the feedback I left you.
You still call me a liar when the respons you left to my feedback is total BS and you alrerady confirmed it right here in this thread.
You come on a Buick board where I conduct my business and attempt to tarnish my reputation in retaliation of that feedback and for no other reason.
I dont know how you conduct your business at Speed Inc but I have built mine on integrity and honesty and have been successful with it for 15 years.

- I have done everything in my power to make this situation right for you including a refund and you are still not satisfied.

So your saying you didn't make sure that you were getting your money's worth out of the truck when you took it in on trade? I find it hard to believe that you didn't check it out throughly when you got it. Espicially when you run a shop with 4 lifts. That doesn't say much for your integrity as an automible specialist either.

Sure he screwed up by taking your word and not checking it out but his point is that you didn't repersent as listed and I would be saying the same thing if I was in his shoes.

I've bought 3 cars off Ebay and went for a couple more that were "rust free" that I didn't come home with. Because of that and things like this I'm done buying cars on Ebay, they're more then likely for sale on there because they can't be sold locally. JMO

So why did you leave him neg. feedback? He paid on time in full right?

I bought a GN from Billy back in Dec (was listed here on tb.com) Bill was nice enough to hold the car since I could only get down to his shop on weekends. Car was exactly as described. I went to his shop one weekend (5hr round trip) to look at the car, the next weekend to pay for it and then the following weekend to pick it up. Before I committed to buying the car, never once did i feel pressured by Billy to buy it. I knew that if at any time i didnt feel comfortable with the purchase he would of been fine with it. And never once did he rush me to get the car out of his shop.

Here's what I'm taking from all of this.

1. A car that was being sold by someone I would have thought of as reputable was mis-represented either on purpose or thru neglect.

2. Buyers should ALWAYS beware, regardless of circumstances.

3. Never buy a car sight unseen, no matter how good you feel about the source.

4. Trust no one.

Sorry this happened to ya, but you have helped ME, if that counts for anything.

Sounds pretty reasonable to me.

I guess you should have just sent a carrier to pick it up. That way these guys couldn't blame you for accepting the vehicle in person. Would they agree with your position then??????? Just because he drove off with the vehicle doesn't make it okay to misrepresent the vehicle in the ebay ad. What about the negative feedback? That upsets me more than anything. I'd report him to ebay for the improper use of the feedback system.

Thank you for posting this issue. I might have taken the word from alot of established vendors/members here, now I can learn from your mistake and will trust no one.

From what I gather after following this thread,Is all this guy really wants is the neg feedback removed from Ebay.
If the truck wasnt as described,I dont think he is asking much at all.
He is not asking for money or any reimbursement from Bill.
He realized he screwed up and he accepted it.
Like he said,I dont think he deserved negative feedback as he held up
his end of the auction and paid on time.He feedback should reflect this.

On a side note,I have bought and sold a few cars without having the titles ever have my name on them.
This is the norm in a situation for resale for me.

Again, wow. Just wow. The man has admitted that he ****ed up and should have done a more thorough inspection. He has admitted it several times. He has also stated several times that his issue isn't about money. Nevermind the fact he would have been out some pretty decent $$$ if he had walked away because of a mis-represented ad. It is about the unwarranted negative feedback that Bill left for him on ebay.

And now people are ridiculing him for making this an issue because he owns a Z06 and has more expensive toys then they do?

I am truly amazed at the immaturity and stupidity that has been spewed in this thread. And most of it from 'reputable' business people.

As stated already INTMD8, if anything you have made people open their eyes to who and how they deal with people.

Wow.

And I'm sure if you went to look at your out of state GN and it was not as described but you ended up with negative feedback on ebay you would be ok with that??

I appreciate the lectures on what I should and shouldn't have done but that does not change the fact that Bill was dishonest and that's exactly the point I am trying to make.

No I would not be OK with negative feedback.
