Electric Cutout??!?!

Looks like Mark Hueffman has been working on getting that electric cutout worked onto his GN still....

I would love to have this on my existing cutout on my THDP.

I've e-mailed Mark about it, would love to know how close to a finalized product he is

Found this website on www.ls1tech.com called http://www.quicktimeperformance.com

They have a very nice Electric cutout for $135. They say it will fit any 3" cutout flange. Mark was saying his was only going to go for $125 or so..... that's cheaper and and I'd rather buy from Mark than a company that supplies parts for V8's

Well guys, I have tested the 2nd version and I am still not happy with it as I know how fussy Turbo Regal owners are. I AM ONE OF THEM! The thing works great except for a slight leakage problem when it is closed. I know the overwhelming majority of TR owners would not be happy with this and I will not sell something that is unacceptable to me. I am driving the inventor nuts with this I think but it is not worth it to me if I have a lot of complaints with a product I sell. I have shipped it back to him and haven't heard a word from him in a week so things are stalled at this point.

Maybe someone can try one of the other cutouts that DR EVIL posted about in this thread.

Well, that ECO on that other site looks very nice. I think I'll poke around on LS1tech.com and see if anyone is using it and how well it works.

Like I said before though, I've purchased from you before Mark, and know you put out some real quality stuff. Even if I hear that the other product is perfect I may wait til I know what you're doing for sure....

Figure something out....

I've talked to some guys on LS1tech.com and they have the MPP2 and haven't had any leakage problems with it. Either you have one that was faulty, or they they just don't notice the leak....

The MPP2 is $40 cheaper than the quicktimeperformance piece. I may try the MPP myself and see if I like it. I can always send it back if it leaks I suppose....

Have installed the borlaplate electric cut-out on my TTA, no leaks and works great, just ordered one for my wifes GN

also guys the Stock Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 *Twin Turbo*
has an electronic cutout.....A friend of mine is using it on his and it works great...he has a older camaro and uses it on there...Id personally rather buy a kit.....Lemme know on where to get it...

And buddy and i just put an electric cutout out on his 87 T about a month ago.

We got if from quicktimeperformance. Nice piece and certainly gets you alot of looks when you open it on the fly.
