I think I finally located the source of my problem. Water was somehow getting into the top of my ECM, which corroded part of the EPROM and ponded in the top where the connectors go. Question: Is there some sort of cleaning spray I can use on the connector to the ECM? I have a good ECM and don't want to hook it up because the connectors have dirt/mud in them.

Brakekleen........essentially the same as the electrical parts aerosol cleaner, only you get twice as much product.

After you clean the pins and connectors, apply a little dielectric grease, to both sides. It stopped mine from corroding again.

Radioshack sells a electrical contact cleaner with a brush attached to it. Works great. I had the same problem when my radio antenna grommet popped out.
