Hi All,

Getting the kitchen remodeled (well, actually 3 rooms). Our old microwave, and I do mean OLD, is still working but no longer fitting the "decor". It's a 1977 GE "top of the line" for back then, maybe 650W and half the size of a freaking cabinet. This thing weighs 75# or more! Is there anything in it that would make salvage value more than give-away value? I can't see selling it and will likely give it away unless there's some magic chit inside that can do me some good in the shop...

I am told the magnetron that puts out the microwaves can be fitted with a metal cone to aim it. Then you can disrupt electronic signals that you aim it at.

I would love to make one of these and aim it out the car window at a loud stereo next to me but I would probably fry my own head.
