i have a recessed light ( can light) the light stays on for 10 minutes, then out for 2 minutes, to replace the whole light fixture, i would have to cut it out of the kitchen ceiling, so i took the scoket out and replaced it, i had to but another can light, to get the right scoket. it does the same thing?? i tryed a 15 watt bulb, still does it, any ideas?? thanks ed

You should not have to cut the can light out of the ceiling. Most are made to come out ( they had to get it in there right ). If for some reason you do have to surgically remove the light you can get another fixture to go back in its place at Lowes/Home Depot or a lighting supply house.
I would find out who manufactured the fixture and see if you can locate the removal instructions online, or maybe someone you know can help you out. It is not that big of a job at all. Please turn off the breaker before servicing.
If you can work on one of these cars you can fix this light!! Good luck
