Sometimes when logging into Outlook I get this error:

The host 'mail.baselinesuspensions.com' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'tech@baselinesuspensions.com', Server: 'mail.baselinesuspensions.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

What's going on and what is needed to fix it? I haven't changed anything but this started about 2 weeks ago.

Can someone help, please?

Let me guess, you try and get your emails, and they are blank and you cant read them on the computer, and it wont retrieve them either?
The header is there, but no info in the lower box, just blank?

I must shut off my computer everyday because for some reason my puter scans looking for viruses at a certain time, and looses connection between my email host and my modem???

Wish i could fix mine, but at least it works...
Try shutting it off to see if you can get your emails, then check your software, norton antivirus or avg free might be your issue.

Mine just won't/can't connect to the server to retrieve my email and pops up that warning.

I also have trouble opening a website once in a while (usually the very first website I try to open) and it will display "Page can't be displayed" warning.

I had that issue in the past...
control alt delete
Check your processes and see what program is draining all your brain power???

My computer had issues with the printer, spoolsexe was at 25,000K and keeping my puter from working fast, at the time i was running norton and now i have avg free... no more issue. I deleted spoolsexe almost everyday and the puter would work faster..

seems like you have a virus.

Did you shut it off and see if you could get emails?

Rebooting doesn't really fix the problem but now that you mention it it does act like a resource problem. Now I don't think it is related to the email issue because it sometimes won't open a website.
I would say 3 out of 7 times that I log onto the web the email or a website won't load so I simply close the window and open it again and it works. I'll have to see if I can find what is sucking up the memory (if that's the problem) when it happens.
I usually will open Outlook and 3 websites all at the same time and let them all load up (56k dialup) but Outlook and the FIRST website that I clicked on won't open but the rest of them will.

BTW, I have an updated Norton and have run Spybot and no errors come up.

the problem is in the error message itself. your mail program cant find the mail server. either the server is down, changed it name or there is a DNS problem either on the mail server's end or on your ISP's end.

My ISP provider said it was my computer and they recommended me getting the thing scanned by a proffesional. I haven't heard back from my mail server people.

My problem went away when i got rid of my norton antivirus.

I have a cable modem and roadrunner.

I thought i would chime in because i used to have the same problem, well, sort of still do, but shutting my puter off fixes mine....
My puter is 5 years old too, wonder if that has anything to do with it???
