ENGINE BAY PICS: Jaw Droppers

Its a 3.5' Mark H unit. The chassis shop routed the wastegate back into the downpipe. The overall look and quality of the downpipe is very good. The fit on this application, not so much. The downpipe was literally resting and melting the inner fender ( had to cut the inner fender) and needed a little heat and manipulation to properly clear the heater box and also the frame.
With all that done its a thing of beauty. We also added a V-band under the car so pulling this downpipe out can be done in 5 min

Nice engine bay. I used one of TR Customs 3.5s as well and ran into the same issue with the inner fender. Had to trim a good deal to clear but overall the quality of the pipe itself is very good. I modified mine routing the gate back into the dp downstream.

nice idea about the v band at the bottom. I go through hell just to pull mine down pipe out. Problem with mine is its to close to the heater box and then it rests on the frame at the bottom its also 3.5 so who is mark h.

You knowe what i do not know. Thank you very much for noticeing this. I was following the numbers on the coilpack, but obviously i got something seriously wrong.

Thanks once again. I will have to look at it all once more when i get home.

One question, can the top plate of the coil pack be reveresed if there is enough room for the wires?

If you mean turning the coil pack 180...I think the yellow and green wires coming from the ign module for the 1 and 5 coils might be too short to do that.

Rodney, after looking carfully at some of my photos i have and tracing the wires back from the spark plug, i have determined that the coil is infact 180* off.

I wish could just go to the car and look but i am currently sitting in the middle of the jungle in Guyana, but i would like to figure this out.

One thing worth mentioning is that i do have an msd dis4 on the car as well and that spacer. Now could the wires attacted to the spacer be potentially long enough to make reveral possible. I did open the coilpack up once to see what was infact going on inside, so reversing it if humanly possibly may have happened.

your help and opinion is appreciated.

Yes I did the wastegate setup. Keep in mind if you choose this downpipe that you will be cutting into your inner fender

Very nice. I thought you needed a distributor to go fast. Or, you just haven't gotten around to putting one on yet?
