Just wanted to share the engine and transmission build going with some iron heads and bigger turbo. Engine is getting much needed attention by a reputable builder. After this the body work can begin. More pics to come.

It also looks like you need control arm bushings, too. (But they all do).

Was the debris on the back side of the bearing from a prior rebuild or was that factory? How does the wear pattern look on the bearing with debris under it?

The debris is no doubt from a prior sloppy install. Crank is .010/.010. This engine likely had a flat cam failure at some point also. All the skirts are loaded with filings, bores scored, bearings have filings in them, and the crank had a lot of wear. Some rod journals were .0003-.0004" under the min.
