Hypothetically speaking i bet my $1500.00 motor will out run that $15,000.00 motor all day long everyday .. it's in the brain behind the motor not how much money was spent !! ask bison low budget master .. ive got about 30 passes on mine without an issue 10's .. ive seen guys spend more then $15,000.00 to make 2 passes slower then my car .. its almost a crime .....

As with anything in life, you pay for knowledge. How much you pay for it depends on your learning ability and method of learning. If "the student" never asks questions, confirms the infomation being given is correct, or puts forth the extra effort in learning to overcome their weak points, results can be less than desireable.

People make mistakes, some can admit to it, some won't. From what I've experienced, the deternining factor is the amount of money involved!

Hypothetically I have been gone for 2 weeks and come back and fine this..... off to the secret trap door :eek:

Hypothetically I thought it took longer then 2 weeks to cure the Clap...... Hypothetically speaking of course.

anyways in reply to the original MIA thread

one should get a detailed itemized bill with what was done and what is in your engine
BUT
At the same time I agree with what Bison said - SO me having an engine built i would expect complete details BUT if agreed from the beginning that i was getting a "special custom secret" part that would help my combo achieve a specific level of performance i would not have a problem with NOT getting that specific information---- AS LONG AS IT WORKS AS PROMISED

In those words lies the key to a proper customer/builder relationship.

When I had my stuff built, yes, I got the itemized bill, yes, I got the "special custom secret" stuff, I also got the knowledge I asked for, and yes, I was told "No." when I asked about the "special custom secret" stuff.

I also got, and continue to get, the superior level of customer service (and more) I was promised I would receive.

Before I plunked my money down I spent a great deal of time and effort confirming that my builder was who and what he said he was, PRIOR to giving him my build.

He, in turn, spent a great deal of time and effort gaining my trust.

I can tell you this right now, the "AS LONG AS IT WORKS AS PROMISED" part just isn't a problem with my little car.

IT WORKS,.... OH YES IT DOES!!!!!!!!!!!

Those who know and have worked with my builder have had the same type of experiences.

It seems to me this whole thing boils down to "Let The Buyer Beware"!

Of course, this is just a hypothisis and I could be completely wrong..............

A hypothesis is maybe there is something in the water in that particular area causing this hypothetical person to think they are god and their stuff is worth gold. One thing for sure is Bobby at RPE can deliver a better engine and you won't go through this hypothetical problem discussed.
