Engine girdle oil fix question

Wondering if anyone has ever tried to O-ring the girdle. I don't mean small O-rings around each bolt hole. I'm talking about a ring going around the entire girdle.........or will I be the first.

I did mine. I used a .125 dia. carbide burr, .060 deep around the outside. I also use "the right stuff". I have never had a leak.

we just followed the directions using the right stuff . Didn't do any "o" ringing

Loc-tite 515 anaerobic sealer works for me. I have had it together for 6 years with no leaks from the girdle.
