my engine has a miss in it at idle and cant get rid of it. done changed plugs, wires, and coil pack. any other suggestions

If it is a dead miss at idle, check the compression. Could be a valve not sealing. If all cylinders are even, check for an intake vacuum leak around the manifold with carb cleaner or propane. The miss will clear up momentarily if there is a leak. If all is good, see if you can isolate the bad cylinder by grounding each plug wire with a test light or any type of probe with a ground wire inserted into the plug boot. When you find the bad cylinder, pull the valve cover and check to see if the valves on that cylinder are opening all the way. It could be a bad cam lobe causing it. This will rule out any basic mechanical causes if it is a dead miss on one cylinder. You may also have an injector not working properly. Hope you find the problem.
