My engine is all apart and going to its several places to get treated. The block has been dipped, the drank is being rounded and heat treated, the heads are being surfaced and possible getting a 3 angle job. I just bought the two center main caps and .20 over diamond pistons along with the whole ARP bolt set up. Im planning on using the comp cams 980's valve springs and thats about all thats going on in the engine department. My first question is, being a daily driver and a strip car just about every weekend, what would be the beste size cam for me?

Also, the rest of the car is going to get the usuals, nitto 555r's, cold air system, dump pipe, chip, a 340 or 307 fuel pump, rear air bags, adjustable wastagate, and some others, including just about every gauge needed for monitoring these things. Boost, exhaust temp, oil pressure, water temp and fuel pressure. I have a laptop hooked up to it for readouts and what not. I was just wondering if anyone had the same type of combination or something close and could give me an idea of what kind of power im looking at or even strip times. Also, i was wondering what kind of prices i would be looking at to get the trubo remanufactured. Any input would help. Thanks a lot guys.

Do it right the first time and go roller cam. A 206/206 will be a great choice and go plenty fast. 980 springs won't work with a roller. If I were you I'd start with a smaller turbo (44 or 60) and work up as they are easy to sell and update later. Make sure you go over kill on fuel. I'd start with 57#ers and a hotwired/boosted 340.

To be completely honest, i was kinda trying not to go with the roller cam and go with a 206/206 non roller because eventually, im going to run stock eliminator in D/FIA with it and dont want to get involved in the short block again just the stock cam back in. The turbo will then be professionally done correctly at that time but right now its stock. I will hotwire the fuel pump but do you think the 206/206 is a good choice for its present work that its going to be doing. What kind of turbo prices would i be looking at and how much power do you think im making now?

Yea, it'll work great if you can keep it from wiping a lobe. Send the turbo to Limit engineering. They'll do a great job at a reasonable price. Research will be key in what combo you want.

Hopefully the stocker project will be ready by the beginning of the next year. It should be a pretty good combo with the people i'll have working on it. Anyone with any more suggestions would be great. Thanks a lot.
