Engine Stalls / or cuts out??

This has kinda of been an on going problem that seems to have a lot of people stumped. My car overall can be running just fine, but when I punch it, it will take off fine until it gets to higher RPM's then it make an awful noise (kinda of like a deep roaring noise, but also kinda sounds like sputtering). I loose quite a bit of power when this happens as well. All my readings seems to be fine, even when this happens. Which is puzzeling everyone as well. Does anyone have any type of advice as to where to even begin looking for a problem like this????

Just for starters....

Check all your hoses and clamps and such. I had a loose up-pipe hose and it would pull good for a while but then it would lose power because it would act like a "blow-off" valve and just let loose. That might explain the noise you hear. Just somewhere to start I guess...

Could be valve springs. If they are stock they are probably wore out. And they only cost about $40 for new ones
