IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES DID NOT PURCHASE A DROP OF GASOLINE FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE OIL COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES.

AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OF OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL COMPANIES.

THEREFORE MAY 19TH HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT UP THEIR behind " DAY AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF GASOLINE THAT DAY.

THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT.

WAITING ON THIS ADMIINSTRATION TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REDUCTION AND CONTROL IN PRICES THAT THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISED TWO WEEKS AGO?

REMEMBER ONE THING, NOT ONLY IS THE PRICE OF GASOLINE GOING UP BUT AT THE SAME TIME AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, TRUCKING COMPANIES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES WHICH EFFECTS PRICES ON EVERYTHING THAT IS SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING, BUILDING MATERIALS, MEDICAL SUPPLIES ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO!

WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY, WE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN.

SO DO YOUR PART AND SPREAD THE WORD. FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW. MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND MAKE MAY 19TH A DAY THAT THE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES SAY "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH"

i still dont get that whole thing, if no one buys on the 19'th they will on the 20'th or fill up on the 18'th? people will still buy  Dont get me wrong i support all who want to do this, i personally wont be purchasing any fuel (i dont drive during the week.

I hate these gas prices too and really think our governments should be doing something about them, but I don't think THIS will be the answer. I don't think it'll have enough participants. It'll take more then an email rally to get together enough people to make this happen. Even then, as everyone else has said, you'll just get gas on the 20th.

Prices are going up here too!

One exception...

You are permitted to buy race gas at the nats!

I wonder if everyone started buying gas from only one company
if it would force the other ones to lower thier prices?

on the surface, it does sound good. but like its been said before it won't affect much when people make up for not buying gas on the 19th.

If we really wanted to get to them we would have to go a month without gas. and frankly i don't know too many people who can do that.

If we all buy race fuel along with everyone else in the country then we can get to the govt. because there is no taxes on that, but it wont' happen.

If we really want to lower prices then we would need to buy more, they need less profit margin to make the same money. but at the same time we would be spending more.

the answer isnt' in consumption of gas, the answer is in getting this election over so bush doesn't have to give us a reason to vote for him. I think thats what he's doing, showing us he has a plan to drop gas prices. basically he's holding us hostage. I support the guy and i'll vote for him, but it is getting rediculious.

Go to an airport and uy your gas there. i can get 100 low lead for less than $2 a gallon, granted i hve to fill it into 5 gallon cans then put it in my car, but thats worth it to me to not only save a few cents but also get an extra 9 points of octane.

about all we need is for the government to get involved in the price of gas.....

the price of gas is what it is.....the market (+ OPEC) determines the price and there isn't a thing anybody can do about it, short of reduced demand

unfortunately, the rest of the world is now consuming gas just like the good old USA, and supply and demand rule!

(gas is still very cheap in the US.....stop whining)
