I like the turbos mounted on the mufflers. Not sure what the plan was for those things.

I am still thinking about installing turbos above mufflers like that. DAMMM I was going to do that on the next street killer. Even if they looked under the car, all they would see is mufflers. I was going to run the intake plumbing along the trans tunnel and up through the firewall. Leave a throttle body up front, but it'll be plugged. Ohhh...the possibilities. Now if I could make my wleds look THAT bad, but have good stuf under it, and make the ting actually run like a scalded dog, that would also make some BIG bucks. Put a hat on sidways and start talkin' smak at the local hang-out. I'm tellin' ya....there's big money to be made building a car like that. Spray the engine down with WD-40 then drive down a dirt road for awhile before you show up. greasy hand prints on the fenders, Jegs stickers all over it. Throw a J.C. Whitney sticker or two on it too.

The Flowmaster muffler on top of the engine is kinda cool too. Sure, Ghetto, but I remember reading the thread as that guy progressed. It actually made good power. (all things considered) He had no budget, but wanted a turbo car. He did his homework, and jumped in with both feet. His fabrication skills were lacking, but you gotta start somewhere. My first welds (and some of my current ones) look that bad. (course I don't post those on the 'net, either though.)

The flex pipe header is priceless. That down pipe is .......well........huh...........poorly welded. I'll leave it at that.

I LMAO looking at some of the pics ............. but I agree with turbofabricator ..... You have to start somewhere. Some of the greatest inventions started as "dumb".

If you can build a "tubo muffler set-up" for the import crowd, and sell 5000 of them at $200 profit, would you build them?

What if I could build them a top secret turbo/liquid to air intercooler system and make $4,000 profit per unit? I'm ON IT!!!! But then they would be hangin' out in my 'Hood, and I can't stand for THAT!

Never works that way for me, though. I always end up LOOSING money inventing things. Champion takes the invention and runs with it. Hope they make a mint on it though. It's good for my "Karma account".:smile: I really don't care. Not my line of work. Now, if they start building commercial jets.......there's gonna be TROUBLE!! :biggrin: Someone needs to start building the fuel pressure regulator bypass fittings. Jay?......Bueler......anyone.....anyone?.........
